Day 01 - Chennai (20Kms/40 Min drive)

You are greeted on arrival at Chennai Airport by our representative and thereafter transfer to the hotel. Afternoon enjoying the local sightseeing tour of Chennai city, where you can visit the Santhome Cathedral, Birla Planetarium, Elliot Beach, Valluvar Kottam, National Art and Government Museum, Anna Zoological Park, Kalakshetra and the Theosophical Society. Overnight stay at Chennai. (NB – Kalakshetra will be closed on Saturday, Sunday & School holidays. Government Museum will be closed on Fridays)

Day 02 - Mahabalipuram (60 Kms/2 Hrs drive)

It’s known for its temples and monuments built by the Pallava dynasty in the 7th and 8th centuries. On arrival check into the Hotel. Rest of the day at leisure & Stay overnight at Mahabalipuram.

Day 03 - Mahabalipuram

After breakfast continue with the local sightseeing tour of Mahabalipuram, visiting shore temple, Arjuna’s Penance, Krishna Mandapam, Five Rathas and beach. Overnight stay at Mahabalipuram.

Day 04 - Pondicherry (100 Kms/2.5 Hrs drive)

These where former French possessions situated on the eastern coast.. On arrival Check into the hotel.Afternoon continue with the local sightseeing tours, here you can Visit:- Sree Aurobindo Ashram- The world famous Sree Aurobindo Ashram is situated here. Raj Nivas- The official residence of the Lieutenant Governor, now known as Raj Nivas, is a true specimen of the fusion of Indian and French cultures. The main building is 200 years old. The interiors, the sitting rooms and the enclosing galleries have wooden furnishings which have a French base with Indian style caving. Over night at Pondicherry.

Day 05 - Tanjore- (Via Chidambaram & Darasuram) - (180 Kms/4 Hrs drive)

Today Morning after breakfast proceed to Tanjore. (Tanjore was once the capital of the Cholas, a destiny of temple builders who ruled south India between the 10th and 14th centuries),en route visiting Nataraja temple Chidambaram & Airavatesvara temple Darasuram. On arrival check in at the hotel. Afternoon visit Sri Brahadeeswara Temple, Royal Palace museum and Art Gallery. Evening free to relax and Stay overnight at Tanjore.
(NB -Art Gallery and Museum will be closed on Govt. holidays).

Day 06 - Madurai - Via Chettinadu (185 Kms/4 Hrs drive)

A Tour to Chettinad will be an extremely enriching experience for the tourist as the place is full with rich cultural heritage, exotic food and remarkable specimens of Dravidian architecture. Chettinad is well known for its mansions, temples and culinary delicacies.Later Continue to Madurai ,one of South India’s greatest temple towns synonymous with the celebrated Meenakshi Temple. Situated on the banks of river Vaigai, Madurai has a rich cultural heritage passed on from the great Tamil era more than 2500 years old. Madurai was an important cultural and commercial centre even as early as 550 AD. Stay overnight at Madurai.

Day 07 - Madurai

The 1000-pillared hall depicts beautiful sculptures showcasing stories from ancient Hindu Epics.Y ou could also visit other places of interest such as- the 1636 Palace of King Thirumalai Nayak, built in 1636 in an indo-saracenic style. Overnight at Madurai.

Day 08 - Munnar (140Kms/4 Hrs drive)

Drive to Munnar a hill station located 1600 meters above sea level. Once the summer resort of the erstwhile British administration in South India it still retains its colonial charm and is famous for its tea plantations, most of which are privately owned. With its sprawling estates, rolling hills, sparkling waterfalls, picture postcard hamlets and undulating valleys, Munnar is an ideal holiday destination. Check into your hotel and unwind. Rest of the day at leisure to enjoy the ambience of Munnar. Overnight at Munnar.

Day 09 - Munnar

Today you could visit the tea museum, take a short trip to the Eravikulam National Park (home to the endangered Nilgiri Thar mountain goat amongst others) or simply walk through the enchanting tea estates and enjoy the tranquility it provides. Day at leisure. Overnight at Munnar.
(NB – Tea Museum will be closed on Mondays)

Day 10 - Periyar/Thekkady (110 Kms/3.5 Hrs drive)

Drive to Periyar an area known for its undulating hills, spice plantations, and elephant sightings. One of the 27 wildlife reserves in India, the Periyar valley in Thekkady is the oldest. Check into your hotel.Enjoy a spice plantation tour today where you will be enticed by not only the aroma of spices like cinnamon, cardamom, pepper and nutmeg but will also get to know how they are grown, harvested and processed before they reach the supermarkets. It is also possible to go for an Elephant ride today. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at Thekkady.

Day 11 - Periyar/Thekkady

Today you could go for an escorted jungle trek and also engage in activities like boat ride where you will get the opportunity to sight elephants and other animals along the bank. Overnight at Thekkady.

Day 12 - Alleppey (140 Kms/4 Hrs drive)


Another morning drive, this time, to Alleppey, popularly called the Venice of the East, to see the winding canals and an amazing network of backwaters. On arrival, you will be checking in to a traditional Kerala houseboat which will take you on a fabulous tour of the backwaters. Overnight stay will be in the houseboat.

Day 13 - Cochin (70Kms/2 Hrs drive)

Morning after breakfast proceed to Cochin – the queen of Arabian Sea. On arrival check in at the hotel. After fresh-up you can go for sightseeing of Cochin which includes the Jewish Synagogue, Mattanchery Palace, St.Francis Church and the Chinese Fishing Nets. Evening enjoy Kathakali Dance show and Stay overnight at Cochin. (NB – Jewish synagogue, Mattancherry Palace etc are closed on all Fridays & Saturdays )

Day 14 - Departure (38Kms/1.5 Hr drive)

Departure Transfer to Cochin Airport for onward journey.
