09 Nights / 10 DaysDay 01 - Cochin
You are greeted on arrival at Kochi International Airport by The Travel Planners representative and thereafter transfer to Hotel. Afternoon you can go for the sightseeing of Cochin. Here you can see the St Francis Church, the oldest Church in India, 500 year old Portuguese Houses, Chinese fishing nets, 16th century Synagogue, Jew Town and Mattancherry Palace, built by Portuguese, this Palace contains some of India’s most beautiful murals. Overnight at Hotel.
NB – Jewish synagogue, Mattancherry Palace etc are closed on all Fridays & Saturdays
Day 02 – Munnar – 04 hrs drive
After breakfast proceed to Munnar covering a distance of 130 kms / 4 hrs enroute visit Cheyyappara Waterfalls. On the way to Munnar you can see tea gardens spread like a green carpet over hundreds of kilometres, lush green hills, a place so difficult to describe, very low population too far from pollution, most of the area covered by Tata tea. On arrival check into the hotel. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 03 - Munnar sightseeing
After breakfast proceed to sightseeing in Munnar which includes Eravikulam National Park, Mattupetty, Eco-Point, Tea Museum, Pothamedu etc. You can also enjoy boating in the Lake (optional). Overnight stay in Hotel.
Day 04 – Thekkady – 4 hrs drive
Drive to Thekkady covering a distance of 110 kms /4 hrs through cardamom hills. Check into the Resort. After lunch visit spice plantation like cardamom, Pepper, Coffee, and tea estate etc… On way back to hotel you could stop at the local market and pick up some fragrant spices. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 05 – Thekkady – 4 hrs drive
Wildlife boating in periyar lake (optional), Elephant Ride (optional). Overnight at Hotel.
Day 06 – Kumarakom – 04 hrs drive
After breakfast, transfer you to a beautiful backwater resort at Kumarakom. Teeming with never-ending arrays of backwaters, canals, rivers and lakes, Kumarakom is an experience of a lifetime and a relaxing afternoon at the resort makes it an unforgettable souvenir. Evening visit Kumarakom Bird Sanactuary. Overnight stay will be at Resort.
Day 07 - Houseboat (Backwater Place) – 1hrs drive
Today morning after breakfast rest & relaxtaion. Later proceed to Alleppey, Known as the Venice of the East. On arrival check into a Traditional Houseboat of Kerala Style and cruise through the backwaters is the fabulous way to explore the fascinating beauty of backwaters. Stay overnight in Houseboat – Deluxe A/c.
Day 08 - Kovalam – Trivandrum – 04 hrs drive
Today morning after breakfast disembark houseboat and drive to Kovalam (Trivandrum). On arrival check in to the Resort. Evening free to relax at the Beach. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 09 - Kovalam - Trivandrum
Today morning after breakfast you can go for the sightseeing of Trivandrum [The Capital of Kerala]. Here you can see the 260 year old Sri Padmanabha Swami Temple, covers an area of 2400 sq m, Puthan Maliga Palace Museum [200 year old Palace of the Travancore Maharaja’s], Napier Museum [Which has an electric display of bronzes, Zoo, temple carts, Ivory carvings etc..] and Sri Chitra Art Gallery. Evening relax at Resort and Overnight at Hotel
NB – Horse Palace, Napier Museum, Zoo and the Srichitra Art Gallery are closed on Mondays.
Day 10 – Departure – 45 mins drive
Morning after breakfast departure transfer to Trivandrum International Airport.
