09 Nights / 10 DaysDay 01 - Cochin (38 Kms/1 Hrs drive)
You are greeted on arrival at Kochi International Airport by The Travel Planners representative and thereafter transfer to Fort Cochin. Afternoon we will take you for a Tuk Tuck rickshawa tour of Fort Cochin, here you can see the St Francis Church, the oldest Church in India, 500 year old Portuguese Houses, Chinese fishing nets, 16th century Synagogue, Jew Town and Mattancherry Palace, built by Portuguese, this Palace contains some of India’s most beautiful murals. Evening go for shopping. Overnight stay at Fort Cochin.
(NB – Jewish synagogue, Mattancherry Palace etc are closed on all Fridays & Saturdays)
Day 02 - Kumbalanghi (18 Kms/35 Min drive)
Morning after breakfast transfer to Kumbalangy – an island-village on the outskirts of Kochi City.The main occupation in Kumbalangy is fishing, and there are over 100 Chinese nets in the backwaters that face the village. Groves of mangroves separate the land from the water, providing a breeding ground for prawns, crabs, oysters and small fishes. It is home to fishermen, farmers, labourers, toddy tappers and coir spinners. On arrival Check into a Diamond Homestay. Fully free to engage the activities available inside the island area. Stay overnight at Kumbalanghi.
Day 03 - Munnar (150 Kms /5.5 Hrs drive)
Morning after breakfast drive to Munnar a hill station(150 Kms/5.5 Hrs drive), located 1600 meters above sea level. Once the summer resort of the erstwhile British administration in South India it still retains its colonial charm and is famous for its tea plantations, most of which are privately owned. With its sprawling estates, rolling hills, sparkling waterfalls, picture postcard hamlets and undulating valleys, Munnar is an ideal holiday destination. En route visiting Cheyyapara & Valara waterfalls . Check into your hotel and unwind. Rest of the day at leisure to enjoy the ambiance of Munnar. Overnight at Munnar.
Day 04 - Munnar
Morning enjoying the yoga session. After breakfast continue with the local visit or you can simanply engage the activities available in the resort such as Nature Walk, Cooking demo, Cycling etc. If someone interested to go for local visit can explore the places like Tea Museum, Tea Gardens, Echo Point, Kundala Dam, Mattupetty dam, Blossam garden etc. Stay overnight at Munnar.
Day 05 - Thekkady (110 Kms / 3.5 Hrs drive)
Drive to Periyar /Thekkady an area known for its undulating hills, spice plantations, and elephant sightings. One of the 27 wildlife reserves in India, the Periyar valley in Thekkady is the oldest. Check into your hotel.Enjoy a spice plantation tour today where you will be enticed by not only the aroma of spices like cinnamon, cardamom, pepper and nutmeg but will also get to know how they are grown, harvested and processed before they reach the supermarkets. Rest of the day at leisure & stay overnight at Thekkady.
Day 06 - Thekkady
Today you can enjoy the outdoor activities available in Periyar National Park. Half day bamboo rafting inside the forest and then continue with Periyar Boating and Cultural shows (Kathakali dance & Kalaripayattu show). Stay overnight at Thekkady.
Day 07 - Alleppey (140 Kms/4 Hrs drive)
After breakfast is another morning drive to Alleppey, the backwater destination to see the winding canals and an amazing network of backwaters. On arrival, you will be checking in to a traditional Kerala houseboat which will take you on a fabulous tour of the backwaters, all part of what is one of the best honeymoon packages in Kerala. Overnight stay will be in the Houseboat.
Day 08 - Kovalam (180 Kms /4.5 Hrs drive)
Following breakfast, on the penultimate day of your ten days Kerala tour, is a drive to the gorgeous crescent beach of Kovalam, rated in the top 100 beaches in the world. On arrival, you will be checking in to the hotel and after an unwinding day at the beach, heading back to the hotel to spend the night. Overnight at Kovalam.
Day 09 - Kovalam/Trivandrum/Kovalam
Today morning after breakfast 9 AM you can go for the sightseeing of Trivandrum [The Capital of Kerala]. Here you can see the 260 year old Sri Padmanabha Swami Temple(Non Hindus & are not permitted inside the temple) , Puthan Maliga Palace Museum [200 year old Palace of the Travancore Maharaja’s], Napier Museum [Which has an electric display of bronzes, Zoo, temple carts, Ivory carvings etc..] and Sri Chitra Art Gallery. Evening free at leisure on the beach & stay overnight at Kovalam.
(NB – Horse Palace, Napier Museum, Zoo and the Srichitra Art Gallery are closed on Mondays)
Day 10 - Departure (30 Min drive)
Departure Transfer to Trivandrum International Airport for onward journey.
